If a visa is required, follow the responsible mission’s instructions. Documents, application methods and processing can vary. Visit Japan Web supports arrival procedures; it does not replace a visa or guarantee landing permission.
Check eligibility and arrival paperwork as separate tasks. Kuanju is not a visa agent and does not collect visa application fees.
Prepare to use Visit Japan Web
Have your passport, flight, accommodation and email details ready. Enter through the Digital Agency’s official page and verify the domain before submitting personal information.
Review names, dates and flight details carefully, including applicable accompanying-person details. Make sure the required code is accessible on your phone or tablet on arrival; charge your device and keep key itinerary details offline.
Customs declarations
Japan Customs supports electronic declarations and still provides a paper option. A code does not exempt you from inspection: follow officers’ instructions.
Check official restrictions for relevant food, medicines, animal or plant products before packing. Declare what you actually carry; do not copy example answers from a guide.
Keep your arrival information together
Check KIX versus ITM, terminal, baggage allowance and onward travel. Save Kuanju’s address, your platform reservation and the host contact route. Allow for delays.
Confirm SIM/eSIM compatibility, activation and calling support. Prepare cash, a card, suitable insurance and clothing. Do not keep every essential document behind an internet-only login.
Guest registration and check-in
Complete applicable guest registration through the host-confirmed channel. Foreign guests without a fixed address in Japan need the relevant passport registration; this is separate from border procedures. Never post documents publicly.
Check-in from 16:00, checkout before 11:00. There are stairs and no lift. Keys and network credentials are shared privately for the stay, never in this public guide.
Final check before departure
Recheck flights, entry requirements, weather, transport and the reservation’s guest count. Check each traveller’s own documents.
